2 Indian Colleges in Top 100 Global Employability University Ranking 2013

Two Indian institutes, Indian Institute of Science (IISc.), Bangalore and Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad have made it to the top 100 in the Global Employability University Survey that was conducted by French human resources consulting group Emerging Associates along with Trendence, a German polling and research institute.


The global survey ranks universities basis their reputation among employers. The ranking is based on responses from 2,700 recruiters in 20 countries, who were asked which of their local universities produced the best graduates.

The University of Oxford, Great Britain has topped the list followed by Harvard University, USA and University of Cambridge, Great Britain at the 2nd and 3rd position. Ranks 4 - 9 are again dominated by universities from the US - Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Princeton University, Columbia University, Yale University and California Institute of Technology (Caltech.)

Universities of the US lead the rankings, with 45 places in the ranking overall. IISc Bangalore has been ranked 23rd and ISB is at the 52nd rank.
